WHO'S WHO

Director: Cheryl Cutlip
Cheryl's Story

“I grew up in a small town in North Carolina where there was one dance studio and one stop light. Through the help of my supportive parents and amazing dance teachers and with a lot of hard work and determination, I made my way to New York City where I became a Radio City Rockette.  Now living in Blowing Rock, NC, I desire to give back to this community what I've learned through my experiences as a professional dancer.  For the past 15 years I've directed a non-profit organization called Project Dance. Our aim is to positively impact culture through artistic integrity. Our desire is to see every dancer nurtured to their fullest human potential for their own well being and their contribution to the world by offering training, education, and performance opportunities for dancers worldwide who desire to dance with integrity to inspire.  While this project takes me all over the world sharing the love of dance to thousands in cities like Hong Kong, Toronto, Paris, Sydney, Penang, London, New York, Houston and Jerusalem; I now seek to encourage dancers in my own backyard. The Carolina Snowbelles is a brand new program area for Project Dance and my hope is to equip local dancers with the skills needed to succeed."
